There are countless stories associated with the Covered Market.  There are more being created everyday.  The Heritage Lottery project allowed us to research some of the historial ones and to talk to current traders about their perceptions and association with the day-to-day operation of the Market.

Our content is not exhaustive and we know that we will have missed some great anecdotes and legends.  It is hoped that our project becomes a legacy in itself and a repository for both new stories and those old ones that may come to light again as a result of us sparking a memory in someone, somewhere.
